Frequently Asked Questions
Lip fillers are very safe and side effects are uncommon, but minor side effects include redness, swelling and itching at the injection site and bruising which can last from 2 to 10 days. If you find that you are unhappy with the result, your practitioner will see you for a treatment review and this can be rectified. If you suffer from cold sores, dermal fillers to lips may not be a good facial rejuvenation treatment treatment for you.
A numbing cream is applied to the lips first to ensure the treatment is as comfortable as possible.
Treatment results are instant and last for up to 4 to 6 months. Repeat treatments can be done and have no long-term effect on the lips. Lips will return to their original state when all material has been dissolved.
