I am originally from Teesside and qualified from The University of Newcastle in 2006. I was married in the same year and moved to my wife’s home town of Bolton, where she is now working as a GP.
I completed my vocational training in general practice in Bolton and stayed on at the practice. I have an interest in Oral Surgery so during this time I worked part time in general practice and part time in hospital as a Clinical Assistant in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at Salford Royal Hospital for 15 months. I then worked full time as a Senior House Officer in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery in a 6 month post which was based in Blackburn Royal Hospital.
I have passed the Membership examination for the Dental Faculty of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and also the Membership Exam for the Joint Dental Faculties of England. I have also completed a certificate course in Dental Implantology run by Professor Ucer and I am currently completing my Masters degree in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Manchester. I am always keen to provide dentistry in the most relaxing and pleasant way possible and as an aid to this have completed a National Certificate Course in Conscious Sedation. We have a son and daughter which keep us very busy and in my free time I enjoy running and martial arts.
